We are so excited to announce that Tijuana-based artist Inés Solano is designing a custom woodblock design for our foundation. Inés is hand-carving a monarch butterfly, an internationally recognized symbol of migration and the plight of the refugee. Countless hours of work go into creating these designs, and when completed these prints will be hand-pressed onto t-shirts one by one.
We are selling these t-shirts as a joint fundraiser, to benefit our foundation and Ines' Tijuana-based art trailer. Ines and her husband Eddy bring a trailer full of art supplies to different neighborhoods in Tijuana and teach young children the art of woodblock printing. When we heard about the amazing work this dynamic duo was doing, we wanted to collaborate. Stay tuned for more info!
50% of sales will go to Inés and Eddy and 50% of the sales will go to Minority Humanitarian Foundation.
