We met Lesly and her father Juan Alberto on December 4th, 2018. Lesly has cerebral palsy and has little control over her motor skills. She cannot walk or speak. When we met them they were sleeping on the floor at El Barretal Shelter in Tijuana with over 5,000 other asylum-seekers who had just made the dangerous trek from South America.

When we met them we immediately went to Groupo Beto and negotiated them being pulled to the front of the line. A few days later they were granted access into the United States and we placed them in a loving sponsor home. Today Lesly and Juan Alberto are safe in Southern California, and Lesly is attending school for the very first time. The changes we have witnessed in Lesly since she's been properly medicated are nothing short of amazing.

Now we need your help getting Lesly and Juan Alberto into a more permanent living situation. Please donate directly to Lesly and Juan Alberto on the link below.
